Title: Difference between AM466 and AM486?
Post by: jpc763 on December 11, 2011, 10:43:36 AM
I have used X10 for years in my house.  Every Christmas they control my outside lights.  This year, for some reason, 2 AM486 modules have stopped working.  They are hot to the touch and need to be swapped out for new ones.  The modules are 5+ years old.

I control 2-3 strings of C9 incadescent bulbs per module.

I have been looking at the AM466 3 Pin modules for replacements and just don't see a spec difference?  Is there a difference?

Thanks, John

Just the ground pin. Otherwise identical on the inside.

If they are a recent Date Code they will also be the redesigned ones that are more CFL friendly.
