Title: Airpad Updates
Post by: FReagan on March 03, 2012, 10:13:06 PM
Searched every way I could think of before posting.
I have an Airpad 7P, mostly I'm very happy with it.  Like many others though, Flash is no longer working.  Found a source for the latest version (11.1.111.6) and still get the annoying box that means Flash doesn't work.

I saw in the thread on this topic that a fix is being worked on.  When it becomes available, where will be able to find it?  Where will software updates be posted?

I will post information when the new ROM is available with instructions and links on this forum. This should be available very soon.

Try installing an older version of Flash.  Here is the link for 10.3

Put the older version of Flash on, made no difference.
Thanks for the link, was worth a try.

did you go into the browser and change the html5/flash setting to flash?

Yes, tried it both ways, no difference.

I'm certain the problem lies with Android 4.0.1

So i just received my Airpad 7p on thursday Very Quick shipping X10  #:) It's Saturday and after searching this forum i found that the best thing to do is follow the directions on how to upgrade your ICS and or Gingerbread. Mine came with the new ICs but flash was missing and no way to update Flash.. I think what X10 has to have in the directions is "immediately go to a link to download and install updated ICS." I now have flash and can watch amazon streaming. and for whatever reason netflix Works (video and Audio Together).. One thing to note is X10's Tech Support has very strange hours to answer Questions and hopefully you can find all the info you need on this forum.. Decent priced tablet for sure.

I'm looking for positive results on the ics 4.03 update!
I'm leary about it, because I've spent a lot of time installing the apps.
I know I can back them up, but then there you go again (lots of time)!
Thanks! :'

Definitely positive results.
Flash playback in browser fixed.
Netflix works, but jerky on mine.
Hulu Plus still doesn't work.

Back up the YouTube app, wasn't in the new image and haven't found it yet.  Works in the browser now so it's not a big deal.
Forcing me to re-install all the apps I had put on made me look at the list of stuff I had gotten from Amazon and I haven't reinstalled about 80% of what I had.  What I use extensively I now keep on the SD card and a private web page for the next time I need them.
