Title: What routers support Airsight's DDNS server?
Post by: robster_in_edmonds on April 06, 2012, 10:48:46 AM
My old router doesn't support DDNS, so I went out and bought a new Cico/Linksys E1200 router.  When I got to the screen to put in the DDNS, it only supports DynDNS (DynDNS is no longer free, btw) and another costly DNS option that is owned by Cisco.  NOTHING ELSE!  I "chatted" with a support person who confirmed there are no other options, and no way to manually put in a different DDNS.  So I'm returning it tomorrow.

Since I'm buying a new router for this purpose, could a few of you please reply with the router make and model you use that supports Airsight and note whether it supports the built-in DDNS provided by Airsight ( h2045.cipcam.com)?

If anyone has put together some notes on a quick way to set this up I would really appreciate it, as the user manual is written by someone who has English as a second language.  Don't get me wrong, I couldn't write that well in French (my second language), but it still doesn't give clear instructions on how to set this thing up.

Thank you!
