Title: CM19A Locks up after ActivePhone command
Post by: soxfan1966 on April 10, 2012, 05:05:31 PM
I have ActiveHome Pro installed, along with ActivePhone and a few other plug-ins.

I had ActivePhone set up on my cell phone and it was working fine.  The next morning I tried it again and it did not work, I went to my AHP computer to look and then trying to turn things off/on from there was not working as well.

I unplugged the CM19A USB cable, plugged it back in and then tried another AHP command - I got a stream of commands out of the CM19A at that point.

Something from ActivePhone is locking up / freezing either AHP or the CM19A.  Anyone else have this problem or have a way to fix it?

NOTE: I uninstalled and re-installed AHP and all the plug ins and it is still happening once in awhile...

Are you using the latest AHP and Plug Ins?
AHP is at 3.318.

My guess is he has 3.318 as that's what X10 is ending out with the CM19A package.

Curious question: Does Active Phone have to go through X10 servers?

I have version 3.318.  It has been working OK so far since yesterday afternoon and also this morning.  X10 Tech Support suggestion was to re-install ActiveHome and rather than use my backup file (which has all my modules, macros, etc) start from scratch with the setup again.  If it continues to happen that is what I will do unless someone else has had a similar problem and has a different suggestion...   Thanks

AHX files have been known to get corupt.
As does the x10Active.xml file on ocassion.
It is always good to have good copies of these two files backed up.

AHX files are easy to recreate starting by clicking on file then new in AHP.
Then add all your modules and macros and save as a name you'll remember.
Once you restart AHP it will load this file unless you point it to something else with file/open
If your sure your AHX file is OK make a simple copy of it.

The only way to recreate a good X10Active.xml file is to uninstall AHP and then delete the x10active file.
This must be done prior to a reinstall or AHP will not recreate it.
