hey brian  :'(

well so far it seem that the securilink rf is not strong enough for the concrete walls. and it seems not even the key fob is working all that well it won't even work outside the house. i am still looking to see if there is something out there that can boots the signal because i really like this product.

Sorry to hear your RF range is not good.
There are some threads here on improving the SC1200s range. You may want to do a search of the forums.

What do you think about the v572a trancieve. Can it help?

No it will not help at all.

All a V572A does is receive all 16 House Codes and 16 Unit Codes for all 256 combinations of X10 addresses and send a power line signal.
It can not even process a Security Message.
Even if it did. The SC1200 has no power line receiver in it and has to use a registered Security Sensor or Remote directly.

Even the V572RF32 model that can process Security Messages maps them to a standard X10 Address. So it also would not help.

Did you search the forum as suggested? There are some improvement hacks. Just changing the SC1200 orientation seems to help. (Since the antennas in the remotes are vertical when mounted, set your SC1200 vertical and see if that helps. Some have added external antennas, etc. but you void the warrenty. If it just does not work out, X10 should give you a refund (if you got it from X10).
