Hello...need some help! I have owned an x10 system for several yrs and had virtually no issues. I have 10 door/window sensors and 1 motion detector. Recently it would not arm and kept chiming even after installing all new batteries and reinstalling the unit. I bought another ps561 new thinking it had gone bad but now i can only install 5 of the 10 sensors. The other 5 along with the motion sensor will not connect/link to the ps561. I have tried to replace a few of the sensors now to no avail...any ideas....am i missing something obvious? thanks for any and all input

It maybe an RF range issue from the sensors to the console.
Have you added any new wireless devices to you home? That maybe using an RF frequency of 310MHz or close to it.
Any changes to the homes layout?

actually yes i have! i added a wireless router....i am not at home now to check it out but what are my options for having both the router and the x 10 set up? i appreciate the follow up!!!

The wireless router is probably in the 2.4 GHz band but maybe its signal is overloading the consoles receiver.
Can't hurt to try it with the router off for a short time.

Thanks Brian...so what do i do if in fact it is the router? are there any options?

I think you can go into the router and tweak the frequency a little, isn't that right Bryan?

If you find it is the router. You may want to try a different channel as most have a few choices.
Though 2.4 GHz is very far away from 310MHz and if it is just the consoles receiver being swamped by the routers RF. I have no idea how to fix it. If the router and console are close to each other. Try more distance between them.
