Title: Airpad XL still have intrest?
Post by: daldude on September 12, 2012, 04:13:42 PM
Is there still interest in the Airpads? Since X10 stopped selling them I no longer get any new notifications to my old posts or any notifications to any new postings in the Airpad Forums.

It even seems that X10's product line up has become extremely limited and they only sell a few products now. They used to have pages and pages of products now I'd say there is only a max of 3 pages of products on the X10.COM Web Page.

Are they planning on coming out with a new line of Tablets, maybe with dual core processors Bluetooth support and GPS support or is the competition from Apple, Asus, Samsung Acer, Lanovo, Toshiba and Blackberry to strong to be able to compete with and still make a profit?

Not sure if there's any money to to be made. Margins have dropped like a rock in the Android tablet market.  Amazon has declared they don't want to make money off the hardware on Kindle Fire series (Dual Core), Google Nexus 7 (quad core) sell nearly break even in cost.  Walmart  sells low cost tablets with liberal return policy etc.   You are better off choosing tablet with wide community support to get help and updates.

I was wondering the same thing.  I am personally still interested in it since I have one, and I would like to see an official X10 ICS os update for it.
