Title: Plug-in removal
Post by: g1956j on October 11, 2012, 10:16:26 AM
I downloaded plug-ins from the download page which I thought were just things I missed since last being here.

Now my AHP is getting an error and shuts down I tried to uninstall what I downloaded but it looks like their still in the plug-in list, how do I remove them?

Thanks in advance, GJ

Look in "C:\Program Files\ActiveHome Pro" (or "C:\Program Files(x86)\ActiveHomePro") for a file called "plugins.xml." Make a backup of that file, and then open it in a text editor.
There is a "plugin=" line for each plugin you are loading.
Remove the one you want to disable (it might be trial and error, or remove them all and add them back one at a time).
Make sure AHP is closed while you are editing the file.

I uninstalled everything I could find for AHP and I even went through the registry.

I still come up with an error when just installing the AHP module, without any plug-ins, it says something about x10net.dll.

I got rid of every occurrence of that I could find and it still gives me an error, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, GJ.

Found this in the X10 wiki. Not sure if it will shed any light on your problem.

I did download programs (which I thought may have been updates for what I already had) from their download page.

I used add/remove programs to get rid of them because I didn't have the registration codes for them.

But they still show in the plug-in splash screen when I try to install AHP.

Maybe this well help someone help me.

Thanks again, GJ
