Title: Issue with my house on line connection
Post by: Mic_ on October 20, 2012, 10:29:40 AM
On server computer, In the Active Home software; my house tab, drop down, my house status window-the software does not connect. I get the following "A start connection" followed by "Aconnecting to my house service"  followed by "Acannot connect to my house service" followed by "Averify my house plug-in registration" Then I get  "a dosconnected from my hous eservice" and so on...When I first start Active Home software, I do get a pop up which shows all of my plug-ins registered to me...Does anyone have any ideas about this?

The issue is most likely the X10 server (it is down more then up for me)
I stopped using the X10 server for this very reason.
Depending on what you do with this plugg-in there are other software options.
Check the thirdparty addons and software section.

I just checked the server and I get the same messages for what it is worth. ::) :'

I use purchased the my house on line, plug in, to moniter my security cameras from a remote computer. To date, i experience the problem that I posted. A third party plug in was suggested. Where do I get such? Will a third party plug in do what I got the my house on line for?

There are many thirdparty softwares links in the AHP Addons and Software section (http://forums.x10.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=0ippv6r90rq4os131gg1ta73n3&board=36.0)
When in doubt post to thier thread. Almost all have a free trial.
However iHouse will most likely do what you want and more and is free.

I found a third party software "I house", however, I did not find any instructions as to how to set it up and use it. When I did try to set it up, my Active Home pro stopped working. I reverted back to Active home pro by unistalling I House; now my Active Home pro works. I might add that my active phone pro works fine. Thanks
