Title: Beacon light intermitent on and off with simple macro.
Post by: javiert30 on December 27, 2012, 02:02:49 AM
I installed a beacon light in my bedroom, anytime somebody open my garage the beacon light activates, but the problem is, sometimes it dont want to turn off when the garage is closed or if it it closed, the beacon light turn on by itself.

The macro is simple.

When DS10A is trigered
turn on beacon light

When DS10A is closed
wait 3 seconds
turn beacon light off

The beacon light is connected to one SR227

I dont think is a macro problem but I dont know if it can be interference with some device or the beacon light itself.

Is the DS10As Delay Switch set to Max or Min?

One thing that maybe messing you up.
The DS10A is a security type sensor and sends a I am alive signal about every 60 minutes.
Will have to check my notes but I believe it is an I am Open or Closed depending on the state of the magnetic switch.

Can you see the DS10A reliably opening and closing on your AHP screen?
If the magnet and switch are marginal. You maybe getting false opens or missed closed.

The switch is in max and yes I got it activate beacon when trigerred and deactivate it when closed in AHP, I can see it opening and closing everytime I open the garage manualy, this is not happening every 60 minutes, this is happening randomly, it can happen in 15 minutes, or whatever minutes before 60

What is your activity monitor telling you? Sometimes I'll troubleshoot by putting a dummy module in a macro (short macros) to view as evidence that the macro is in fact running properly as I watch. (And later delete).
