Hi! I just joined here today to learn more about my newly bought x10 Modules.
I've been having fun playing with them but I keep getting a problem that is seriously hindering me setting them up properly.
Whenever I press something that opens up a new window, I get a thin line through the middle of my screen rather than the menu.
I know the menu is still taking some kind of input tho because when I hit enter it will return to the main menu and have done an action.. I just cant see what.
I was hoping someone had had this problem as well before and maybe fixed it so any help would be appreciated !

Can you give some added details?
Operating system you are using AHP on?
You have the latest AHP 3.318?
Any add on modules like On Alert etc.?
AHP controller. CM15A, CM15K {CM19A with a TM751}, CM11A?

Right sorry about that !
The OS I am running is windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
I have the latest version, no add on modules since if I press that it either does the line thing or I get a page that seemingly has nothing to do with what I pressed.
And the interface I am running is a CM15Pro.

The CM15Pro is NOT made by X10, but by Marmakek. Are you located in the USA or some other country? Let us know and we should be able to help you.

I live in Sweden. is there a quality difference in the two ? marmitek and x10 then ?

The biggest difference between the CM15A and CM15Pro.
Different AC power and plug. 230 Volt 50 Cycle. We are 120 volts 60 cycles.
Different RF frequency for remote devices. 433.92 MHz. We are 310 MHz.
Battery Backup 9 volt alkaline. We are four AAA cells.
AHP is different between our CM15A and the CM15Pro. Though someone with AHP experience may have a better explanation of the differences. I know one is the icons for the modules show the part numbers for the region. Our AHP needs a registration number to run. The Marmitek version doesn't need the registration. You may want to see if you have the latest AHP for your region.

I vaguely remember a similar problem some time ago where the user found that the windows were being opened correctly but sized so that they looked like a thin line.
Try grabbing the edge of the thin line like a regular window and see if you can resize it.
Of course, I could be completely wrong; I usually am :)

Out foul beast. There are only 22,000 uses for duct tape. 11,000 of the remainder are reserved for baling twine. Half of the balance is used for WD40. The final few thousand hold a special place in my heart, as they use of combination of ALL THREE magical general purpose problem solvers.
It is a well know fact that anything in the entire Universe (including the Universe itself) can be fixed by use of duct tape, WD40 and/or baling twine. Duct tape is, of course, the only known fix for a piece of broken duct tape; however, it should be noted that only certifiable 'professionals' should attempt to carry out such an intricate repair.
On a more serious note, I think I should return to the problem at hand and mention that broken windows should be repaired with duct tape, but broken computer software probably requires special skills (dare I say it?) beyond the realms of duct tape, WD40 and baling twine. One possible cure could be gaffa tape to stick to the computer screen in an attempt to make the thin line bigger - should the repair attempt fail, the gaffa tape can be removed leaving very little sticky residue to clean up.

Yeah, the problem does SEEM like it's just sizing it wrong.
Since the menus arent freezing and are actually functional I would think so.
I'll try to resize them but I think I tried it before..

So, I was wrong. Which, in a curious way, makes me right about usually being wrong.
Being right and wrong simultaneously also cannot be fixed with duct tape.
/me wanders off slowly, scratching head in confusion and only getting splinters.

WD40 is a water dispersent.
Baling twine is absorbent.

Anyone have any ideas at all ? would really like to use this software to the full extent..

I am having the exact same problem. Also Win7 Ultimate x64, 24GB Ram, the works. I get the vertical line, and everything else in AH freezes. Also, every time I do that, like hit the product registration window, i get another icon in the task bar. I too could really use help!
