Title: X-10 Pyramids fighting each other
Post by: jdw on June 04, 2013, 06:31:54 PM
Hello, we have 2 separate pyramid systems controlling 2 different projectors in 2 different rooms about 40 feet apart.  I think the RF from one transmitter is making its way to the other room's receiver as the other projector is being controlled.  Is there any way to change the RF of one of the systems so that they are on different frequencies?  Thank you, Jason

The Powermid ST539 Transmitter and RE549 Receiver only have one frequency of 418MHz.
So it maybe possible for either ST539 to be received by both RE549 Receivers.
They can't be changed to a different frequency.

Thanks for the verification.  Do you know if 418Mhz is the common frequency used by these types of devices?

Even the top shelf devices like Pronto and MX3000 use 418MHz.

What you might do is get a European version of the Pyramids which should use 433.92MHz.
Note that the transmit power may be much higher than FCC limits.

Have you tried leaving the receivers antenna partially extended  or completely close and moving the antenna to different positions? To reduce the reception range.
