Title: New SC1200 Blank Screen

Hello,

I have a new SC1200 and I am trying to get it up and running.

After Installing the batteries, connecting the phone line and connecting the power supply, the screen is blank.
Page 9 of the manual states that the screen should be displaying:

HOME CONTROL
12:00 am
==============

I've got nothing. The screen and the buttons are illuminated, but no text is displayed on the screen.

Any suggestions?

Maybe defective.
Try unplugging the power supply with the batteries out and wait maybe 30 seconds and power it back up. If that still gives no display. Call X10 for an exchange or DOA refund.
