This is the second AF120 (15 Amp plug in filter) that has started buzzing. Happened last night, late.
Is this a known issue and is there a solution.

It is not unusual for inductors in high-current filters to buzz, especially under heavy load. The strong magnetic field can cause the windings to vibrate slightly, causing the buzz. The buzz may also change with ambient temperature due to slight changes in physical dimensions.
The buzz does not mean there is something wrong with the filter.
If the buzz changes suddenly, it may mean the load has changed.

No load change.
It happened late at night. The only things on, as they are always was:-
a) wireless, 8-port router
b) isy-99 insteon controller.
c) Notebook on charge.
The other AF120 happened several months ago. The only things connected were:-
a) Plasma TV - off, but maintenance draw.
b) Amp system - off.
c) DVD player - off
In fact, they both give off a low buzz, that I can hear from 9-18 feet away with no loads connected.
The thing is. They WERE silent and then started buzzing for no real reason.

I would not expect a buzz with no load because there would be very little magnetic field developed to cause the windings to vibrate.
The fact that it happens late at night could mean the temperature had dropped to the point that the windings had loosened up enough to vibrate.
