I just received this...

and can report it will NOT dim with an X10 module that would dim the incandescent it replaced.
A few years ago, failing to anticipate how quickly LEDs would replace CFLs, I bought 24 130V/100W incandescents. When used with X10 switches/modules, where the maximum voltage is further reduced by 4-5%, they will likely outlast both me and my children so, other than a small saving on my electric bill, there's no compelling reason for me to switch to LEDs.

If you tested them with both X10 wall switches and lamp modules.
Was the problem mostly with the two wire X10 dimmers or both?

I only tested the new LED with a lamp module. I don't recall which model.
There's also a significant delay and a flicker before it turns off.

We have a lot of accent lighting, simple can light hidden behind plants, furniture, etc. They make a nice warm wall wash when dimmed down. I used to use 50W halogen spots for their narrow beam. I began switching to LED spots and found out that the 50,000 hours projected life maybe based on LED die life, but certainly not power supply life. I think I have replaced all of my LEs at least once over three years. Even name brand like Feit wink out prematurely although not as frequently "white box" spotlights on Ebay, but still so far the only lights I have over two years are some Sylvania, globe style, 60W equivalent I have outside the garage.
A long way of saying I agree with you, LEDs are no great deal over all.

It's not the LED. It dims to 0%, albeit rather jumpily, with a Smarthome module in another room.
I think the first module is an LM14A. I'll change it later this week when the furniture gets moved to install the window AC.

My LM14A does not dim all the way to 0%.
On a test 40 watt incandescent bulb I can still see the filament glowing. Was the same with a 100 watt one.
I have the same 4Flow bulb you have and it does not dim down too far. I suspect the minimum dim is still enough to keep it partially on with a LM14A.
I tied the same bulb on a Soft Start LM465. They also do not dim all the way down to 0%.
Acted the same way as the LM14A.
Older LM465 dimmed down part way and locked up. Could not control it at all. Even On and Off failed until I cycled the AC power to it.
Smarthome 2000SHL did the same as you found.

I replaced the LM14A with an Icon 2856D2 (with X10 support) and installed a 75W pancake style Cree LED (which would not dim with the LM14A). It dims smoothly although it stutters a bit just before reaching zero. I find it sad that Smarthome dropped X10 support but can understand their reluctance to support a competitive technology. I suspect they'd like to see X10 disappear entirely.
