I needed a challenge, so when Amazon was selling their Dash buttons on Prime Day for $0.99 I picked one up to play around with it. I got it to toggle the Hue lights in my bedroom on and off. [video (https://www.facebook.com/punaro/videos/10214345746057281/)]
This requires having a device to run a Python listening script on (Raspberry Pi, PC, etc.) than can send a command to your IFTTT account which will run the Hue service action of your choice. I set up my Synology NAS, which is always running anyway, to run the script. This is the process I followed.
