Millions and millions of users...…..
What would the statistical odds be..... of NOTHING ever going wrong?

That's why I said I'd never have one, or anything similar.

There are steps one can take to prevent this like disabling calling.
This situarion is like a pocket dial that goes to voice mail.

The NSA is monitoring all your phone calls, emails, and web searches (even if you don't live in the USA). Your mobile phone reports your coming and going via GPS. And it's the ONE freak accident out of billions of uses of the echo devices.... that has you concerned?

Dave, I absolutely believe you. But you write like this is a good and accepted thing. Tell me you are not In clapper camp.

NEVER have I ever implied (or thought) that government involvement in domestic spying was anything other than God-awful. I don't understand why people haven't rebelled against it. I openly opposed it... even when I worked for the government.
But free markets... and the fearless advancements of technology and human creativity I fully support. I am 100% in favor of the wealth and prosperity that technology has consistently produced for the human race.
The problem is... most people see it backwards. It's OK with them if a powerful government becomes All-powerful. Yet seeing an advertisement for something they searched on-line for earlier... show-up on their Facebook page scares them. Computer servers (and dark rooms) do NOT scare me... I am a grown adult. Government agents with guns and state approved orders to shoot to kill... that is a bit scary. But like I posted (before) I see this completely the opposite of most people (here).
