Title: LMM21 to LMM31
Post by: npaisnel on January 07, 2022, 01:28:12 PM

I have a pair of LMM21's here, the two wire dimmer units.

I do not have any LMM31's that have a separate neutral.

But on opening up the LMM21 I see the LMM21 has the pad when the LMM31 would have the neutral, it is even labelled N

So wondering, would it just be a matter of soldering a wire to it to make it function as a LMM31 ..with a neutral  to run the unit .  or are there other missing components?  Any one tried this ?

Might end up going with a Shelly Dimmer 2 module in the end, but would like to stick with X10 a bit longer.

Seems these are UK modules/ euro modules and not US.
So for in for here they are ..

The little daughter board is removable on pins.

LMM21 is two wire single load
LMM22 is two wire two load
LMM3 series is the same with the extra pad populated with a neutral terminal.

Edited to change image sizes..

Can't say about those modules.
I have seen a modification to add the Neutral to a WS467 two wire Wall Switch.
A connection on the board was cut and the Neutral wire solders to the board. So there maybe a jumper removed or a component changed or moved.
Got any photos of the LMM31 board?
You are in a European setup? As those modules are 220V 50Cy.
