Title: Adding IR remote control to HG?

I found this old thread in the TRIGGERcmd forum and I got thinking this may be use for one of the many remotes I have laying around.

I may attempt to add IR control to one of my Pi imbedded CM15a units some rainy day. I believe I have everything required.
