Title: CM15A Driver problem with Windows 11
Post by: Boltsman12 on February 11, 2023, 09:20:15 PM
Installed Windows 11 and the CM15A driver can not be installed or found. Did all the things I thought would work but still no driver found. Does anyone have a resolution. I’ve installed and uninstalled and reinstalled AHP and still no good results. Thank You in advance.

The AHP installer places driver files for the CM15A in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\X10\Drivers\X10 Wireless Transceivers (64-bit)".  (Despite the name, the CM15A driver is in there.  X10 Wireless is the name of the company, not of the product.)  It also tries to self-install them, but this doesn't always work.  Go to Device Manager, find your X10 device, select Update Driver, and point it to that folder.

I haven't tried a CM15A nor AHP on Windows 11, so this may or may not work.

You must also disable auto driver updates (atleast in Windows 10) windows will always try to use the newest drivers which in the case of X10 renders the CM15  unusable with AHP.

I had this problem with AHP on Windows 10. I found the cure at

But I needed to repeat the action as I mistyped the commands. Worked until I went to a RPi 3B+ with HomeGenie
