Title: New PC registration
Post by: joe on November 09, 2005, 12:14:03 PM
Up Until now, I have been using my laptop to
run AHP. Now I have invested in a home
theater PC. I would like to move AHP to the
new PC. I remember when I got AHP there was
some way to get a new authorization using the
last 4 digits of your invoice or something
like that. Has anyone successfully moved AHP
to another computer and how is it done? I am
asking for help here before I get 3 wrong
answers from tech support.

Try the invoice number dash (-)1, ie.,
xxxxxx-1.  That's what has always been used
for registration.

Murphy has the right answer, as long as you
know your ActiveHome Pro order number and the
e-mail address you used to order. You can
call us to get your order number, or you can
use the order information form:

http://www.x10.com/support/forms/order-info-request.html

Just enter your e-mail address and it will
send you all your order information.

One should not have to go through ANY kind
of process to install purchased software.

Not having the full executable is tottaly
unacceptable!

When I downloaded the AHP executible, I
copied it to a Zip Disk and installed it to
my C: drive from there.

Once the file is downloaded, you can save it
anywhere, so installing it to a new machine
is easy.

That's why you save the e-mail. I did.
