i bought activehomepro and i witness for my
grandson.we installed ah pro ok but when we
try to download the driver for iwitness it
goes to 99% and then stops.he has windows xp
and we shut off the anti virus.an
suggestions? thank you, john

I have a similiar setup. Windows XP is the
worst place to get the drivers. There should
have been some software with your AH Pro...
there are drivers there I believe.

Are you talking about the VA11A drivers ?
I had to use XStream.exe to finally get the
X10 USB VA11A to work. Take a look at my
comments in the thread entitled VA11A.

If you have installed iwitness the driver
can be found C:\Program Files\Common
Files\X10\DriverInstall\VA11A Video Capture.
look in your device manager and see if intel
pc cam is installed under USB If it is right
click on it and update driver tell not to
look for driver. Specify it to install
driver from aboved location. If you haven't
iWitness installed DON"T install from the
net SAVE the file to your hard drive and
install from there.

Is there a difference in the VA11A driver
from the iWitness download, and the 2 dirvers
one can get from X10 (X10Drivers.exe and
XStream.exe) Note my other thread where I
mentioned teh driver had a date of 3/19/2001
ver 2.0.0.55 I am wondering if I really
have installed the best driver for iWItness/VA11A

I think the drivers are the same, there are
3 drivers in the folder you should have them
if iwitness installed corectly. If iwitness
is running well and your satisfied then I
wouldn't play with them.

where is the link for iwitness. I click on
the down load plug in tab in ah and it just
takes me to a page to Buy software that i
have all ready paid for.

Ron:If your looking for a link to the VA11a
you can find it in the X10drivers download
on the x10 software page if your looking for
a link to the iWitness pluging there isn't
one. You have to buy the plugin and X10 will
send you the file or a link to it. If you
paid for it and lost it send Support an e-
mail explaining what happen and any other
info witch may help and they'll send you
another copy or link.Phoning is a faster
aproach e-mail tend to fall into a void in
my case anyways! :)
