Clear interface should fill the entire
EEPROM with 0's (except for the header if
that is needed), not just change the header
of the eeprom to indicate that it contains
no timers or macros.
From a debugging point of view it would be
best not to have unknown data in the
interface!

I agree.
I have to remove batteries from the
interface to totaly cleared it.

Removing batteries clears the interface?? I
don't think so. In the past I ran without
batteries and unplugged the CM15a to reset
it after a lock up. The macros and timers
remained loaded and executed just fine
(unlil the next lockup). I'm pretty sure
the batteries power the clock and nothing
else. No power is required to retain
program in eeprom.
