Title: Conditional Macro's
Post by: martin wedepohl on December 01, 2004, 08:49:55 AM
AHP 3.170

I am attempting to turn on a light when
motion is sensed between dusk and dawn.

Problems:

1) Time stored is between Dusk and 1:00am.
I was told that 3.170 would fix this and it
hasn't.
2) Macro acutually runs between 1:00am and
Dusk.  This is backwards to what I'm trying
to do.
3) If I change the macro to run from Dawn
to Dusk it is displayed as 1:00am to Dusk
and executes from Dusk to 1:00am.

When is this going to be fixed or am I
missing something completely with
conditional macros

You need to set it as two conditions:
midnight to Dawn
and
Dusk to midnight
That was supposed to have been fixed in
3.170, but I guess it hasn't. that's the
workaround for now.

Martin: Are you creating this using the
Wizard, or in the Advanced view? The problems
you mention should have been fixed, but
clearly something different is going on. Can
you send your ActiveHome Pro data file to
ahpsupport@x10.com so we can try to reproduce
the problems here?
