Title: ActiveHome Pro update v3.179 available
Post by: X10 Pro on February 04, 2005, 09:54:59 PM
Thanks to everyone who helped identify these.
Some important fixes:

- Fixed a problem that caused conditional
timers not to run.

- Fixed a problem that sometimes caused
events not part of a macro to occur when the
macro ran.

- Fixed a problem with saving Hardware
Configuration settings on Windows 98/ME
computers.

- Fixed a problem with loading
latitude/longitude data when AHP started.
Please check and save Hardware Configuration
information.

- Fixed a problem with the encoding of some
"Between" times conditions for Smart Macros.

- Fixed a problem with the encoding of flag
commands on some Smart Macros.

- Fixed "Edit Module" not applying changes
to House and Unit Code, and room location.

You can download the update installer
directly from here:

http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ahp_updt.exe

You can roll back to v3.178 if necessary by
running:

http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ahp_updt_178.exe

We still have a couple problems outstanding,
including timers that are run from the PC not
working correctly. We'll have another update
early next week.

As mentioned elsewhere, the Dusk/Dawn
Resolution as set in Hardware Configuration
keeps defaulting back to a certain setting no
matter what you change it to.  In my case its
4 Days, others have reported 8 days.  I was
using 2 days, but I can get by fine with 4 days.

the macro ran.

I added dimming to the macro I was
previously having problems with.  First I
tested it by turning on the macro from my
computer and everything worked perfectly.
I then disconnected my CM15a and moved it
to its normal location and tried the macro
from a remote control and the lights on C5
didn’t dim like they are supposed to and
the lamp on C3 turned on when it wasn’t
supposed to.  I guess there are still
problems with this. :(

I updated the software but find that the same
problem still exists where changes to
lattitude & longitude either don't take or
the last digit becomes one below whatever you
entered.  Also, after I updated this and
other things in the hardware configuration,
there is a choice of "update interface."
Clicking on this does nothing!  There is also
no explanation of what "force  powerline
transmission when noise is present" means.  I
tried checking it but it wouldn't take the
first several times and then it did as with
all the other changes to the hardware
configuration.

Lastly, it would really be nice to be able to
use timers on macros since there is a timer
to be set for it but they still don't seem to
work.

We're looking at these things, and I hope to
have a release to fix them today.

Roger H: Can you send the file you use that
has the C5/C3 problem behavior?

X10 Pro: The file should be similar to the
one I sent last time, but I will send you
an updated copy tonight.  One update
though, I tried the macro again from a
wireless remote with the CM15a disconnected
and this time it went back to the old
(3.175) behavior of dimming the lights on
C5 (which is in the macro) and then doing a
C-ALL-Lights-ON (which is not in the macro).
