Title: Set Flag clears
Post by: WinS on February 15, 2005, 09:23:43 AM
I have noticed this since upgrading from
3.175 to 3.179, but it may have existed
previously and gone unnoticed.  A macro sets
Flag 3 at 7:00AM, another macro clears Flag 3
at 10:00PM.  This allows a chime to be
triggered by a motion sensor overnight but
not during the day. From time to time I find
the flag cleared during the day, though it is
being set correctly by the macro's timer.
(This is evidenced by the chime going off
when it shouldn't.)

I discovered that after the flag is set, if
timers and macros are downloaded to the
interface for any reason, even if no changes
were made, the flag clears.  This is
consistently repeatable.  Flags set by the
program such as flags 1,15,or16, are not
affected.

I'm not able to reproduce this here so far. I
created a macro to set a flag, then triggered
it. Reading the interface status the flag was
set, and remained set after updating the
Hardware Configuration and after downloading
again. I'll try a different configuration,
and see.

Is this in the last file you sent to me? I
can try using your data too.

I'm quite sure it was part of the last file
sent to you.  But, I will resend the present
file.

Update
This problem is now gone.  With Diag in place
and ver 3.180, flag sets and clears only when
instructed.  I also notice that flags
1,15,&16 are no longer used by the program?
What's up with that?

Interesting.  Things are working extremely
well right now (connected to computer 24/7),
and the only flags I see in the status report
are the ones I set up.  Only problem for now
is the errant RF A 00TV command, which I
believe X10 is working on since others have
reported a similar problem.  Thanks for your
response.
