I have been writing a program to send RF
commands using my CM17A. This program
complains that COM1 is open. If I stop the
X10nets.exe process, it stops complaining
that the port is open. Since the only
thing plugged into COM1 (or any COM port
for that matter) is my CM17A, I figure the
firecracker software is using X10nets.exe.
Since AHP also uses X10nets.exe, I checked
to see if I could use the SDK to talk to my
CM17A with sendrf commands, but no dice.
I would like to see one of two things
happen:
1. Support for the CM17a be added to the
SDK, or
2. Have X10nets.exe close the COM port when
not talking to the CM17A.
X10 Pro: Is there any chance of this?

Roger H: It's unlikely that we'll be adding
methods for communicating to the CM17A to the
SDK, but I think we can turn off X10Net's use
of the COM port with a registry setting. I'll
look it up and send you an e-mail.

X10 Pro, I too would like that information
please.

X10 Pro: I never did receive an e-mail
from you on this. Did you send it?
