Title: Dimming Problems
Post by: pete puleo on June 29, 2005, 08:02:37 PM
I am using the lastest version.  First of
all, it would be nice if we could type in
the dim level instead of having to try to
move the slider.

Second - if I set a dim level, let's say
10%, then I turn the light off, then back
on, it goes to the 25%.  The only way I can
get it to go back to the 100% is by setting
it to a very low value (not 0) and then a
very high value (not 100).

Is there some way to set an absolute 100%
guaranteed?

Pete.

PS am using Leviton various types of wall
switches.

What module type do you have the switches
set as in AHP?  Also, which model(s) of
Leviton switch(s) are you using?  I don't
use them, but from what I have read, the
Leviton switches have the resume dim
functionality (ie. when you turn them off
and then on, they will return to the
previously set brightness) similar to the
X10 2-way modules.  I think they also
support the "Extended Dim" command (also
similar to the 2-way modules) so setting
them as 2-way modules in AHP might solve
your problems (although if they aren't 2-
way that might cause other problems).
