I just got two CR13A Camera remotes, and
try as I might following the directions can
not get it to program past the basic 4
cameras. Anyone got a clue how to do
these. When I hold down the button for the
number of cameras I have (5) the light
starts flickering and doesn't stop when I
push the button over to program and back
until I let go of the button...according to
the directions that came with it. The
directions on the web site have a different
set of instructions, which don't work
either. X10 seems to have stopped
answering email questions...

There's a flaw somewhere with the x10
technology. Sometime for no reason, when
pressing one of the remote button for the
camera, it affects the other lights on the
same house-code. So the solution to this,
I put up 2 transceiver units with 2 diff
house codes; 1 for the cam, 1 for the
lights.

I get that, makes sense, My lights are
on "I" my alarm is on "C" and my cameras
are on "A". BUT, I still can not get the
CR13A remote to program past the basic 4
cameras no matter what I have tried.

Oh, you meant the A1-A4 swicthes back &
forth, but not the A5? The way the remote
or xcam2 power supply was designed only to
circulate by group of 4's. i.e. A1-A4; A5-
A8; A9-A12; and A13-A16. There's another
remote controller will be able to handle
that but I forgot the exact model. Try
checking here at X10.com.

Yeah, the one you can program is the CR13A,
which I am trying to program, the things
won't program past the first 4 cameras no
matter what I tried to get them to program,
at $50 each, But with 4 AAA batteries in
them, they make excellent paper
weights...it's a pretty sad statement about
x10's products.

I have the same problem with my CR13a
remotes. If you can't get them to program
for six cameras, how the heck do you get
them to program for 16??? All I can get
these to operate is the first four. What a
crock. X10 ignores my requests for
assistance or emails me the same lame
instuctions that I have already tried and
didn't work. Of course when I try to get
an RMA to return these things, I get
nothing back. Spent almost $100 on both of
them and got, as someone else said,
paperweights.
