Title: Anyone know about repeaters?
Post by: brandon on March 20, 2005, 05:11:03 PM
Hi, I was wondering if you anyone knows
about repeaters for the X10 Model Brand
Cameras? I have an X10 camera, but i was
wondering if i could buy an accessory so the
signal would transmit farther?

I doubt thay exsist. To have a repeater for
the 2.4 Ghz signals. The repeater would have
to receive on one channel and transmit on
another. If it was receiving and
transmitting on the same channel. All heck
would break loose with the signals going in
a big loop.

Brandon.  Just the question I was working on.
As the guys mentioned, the channels must be
different.  I was thinking about using the
a/v trans recive pair for entertainment.
set the channel different, and piggyback the
two.  Send the camera to the reciever it
comes with and send the output to the input
of the second transmitter.  it will send the
signal ont the second receiver @ the house
(final location).  MY problem isI don't know
if the A/V pair can send as far as the
camera pair.  differant transmitter
antenia.  See what you can find out.  ttfn:)
