I purchased a 4 camera wireless kit and
multiview. I have confirmed that each
power adapter has different settings:
Camera 1 - A1 Camera 2 - A2 Camera 3 -
A3 Camera 4 - A4 I have multiview set
the same.... The issue is: Multi view will
only view one camera, and it displays it
in all 4 windows. If I have all 4 cameras
on, it only views the closest one to the
receiver. If I plug them in only one at a
time, it displays it with no problem. I
was not told I need a firecracker unit as
the kit did not come with one, could this
be the problem ? What does the firecracker
do? Any help is appreciated.

if you have a transceiver the one that plugs
into a wall socket. than you will have to
move it closer to the pc your, using
multiview.
if not than it may be the usb transceiver
for pc that maynot be any good.

I have the same problem too Shaun. It drove
me nuts figuring out how to make it work. I
set up everything correctly but still it
does not work. I think X10's manuals are
outdated.

I think the problem here is the frequencies.
Since these are wireless cameras, when a
command is given for camera A-1 to turn on,
an off signal is sent to cameras A-2, A-3,
and A-4, or else they would ALL be trying to
transmit on the SAME FREQUENCY. Now, I
haven't studied this system, but unless it
has a provision for multiple wireless
cameras, I just don't see how it will work.
I think multiview was intended for WIRED
cameras. I could be wrong and am going to
look at that, now.

Okay. From what I can tell, the software is
taking sample from each camera at the timed
interval that you select. Therefore, no more
than one camera will be on at a time.
According to the instructions that I read on-
line, it says you need the FireCracker
interface, so maybe that's your problem, if
you don't have it. Wish I could be of more
help.
