I have 4 x10 cameras on ninja bases and 4 non-
x10 on ninja bases. When I pan or tilt one, they all
move no matter the house code, remote code, or
any code thay are on. I even caught them moving
tonight and I wasn't even touching the remote. My
nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away. I have spent
hours and tried everything to troubleshoot this
problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

on my units it seems that when a signal is
sent to scan all ninja's receive the
signal, even if they are on a differant
house code... this also applies to the
center command....however the position
commands seem to work independent of each
other

when playing around with ninjas 3 feet
away, I find that sometimes they will
respond to their own commands, then
sometimes they will all respond with one
unit code command

I an running 3 cameras, with no problems.
Re-check all your address's. Switch all your
cameras from A to B, and run them on a
separate group (B group) run all your other
items on A.
Try and isolate a bad camera power supply, by
turning each unit off one at a time, then
seeing if the others move. The bad power
supply my be erratically sending move codes.

The Ninja Power Supplies work in a group of
4. A single House Code and a unit code of 1-
4;5-8;9-12 and 13-16. When one is turned on
in the group the other three should turn
off. The on off signals is from the power
line signal. While the pan and tilt
messsages are directly sent by the remote by
an RF signal. The RF move commands should
only make the one that is on move. If you
have ninjas on different house codes they
will not turn off unless address directly
and more than one can then be moved at the
same time. Same goes for ninjas on the same
house code but different groups. Unless
thall the groups are taken care of more then
one may move. If the line signals are not
getting to the ninja power supplies that
also can make more then one move or as
mantioned one that is stuck on and will not
respond. Also if you have a power outage.
When the power is restored. By default all
are on untill one is turned on by command
then the other three in the group should go
off..

i have even put all ninjas on one power
strip along with the transmitter and i
still have the same problem. doesnt matter
what house code or address its set to i have
3 move when i press one button. it doesnt
even matter what buton i push several move.
i did finally get 1-4 to work(not sure how)
but as soon as i added 5-9 i went right
back to the same problem when i push 5-8
cameras 1-4 are moving also.

That is the way it works. If there are more
than one group of 4. Like 1-4; 5-8 and 9-12.
turning ON lets say Address M5 camera ON; M1-
M4 and M9-M12 will not turn off; cameras
addressed as M6-M8 would turn off with a M5
ON. So any supply still on will follow the
pan and tilt commands. Some X10 software may
handle more than one group.
To do what you want with the pan and tilrt
remote. All the cameras need to be in one
group.
Hopefuly someone with more than 4 cameras
may have better fixes for you.

tech support says you cant have more than 4
ninjas and if you add a 5th one than number
1 and 5 will turn. if you add a 6th one
than ninja 6 and 2 will turn. they have no
work around for this

cameras 1/3 the price.

I wonder if you could use an X10 CR13A
Camera Remote that can be programed to do
more than 4 cameras to turn one on or off
and then use the ninja remote to pan and
tilt. May not work if you have preset
positions in the ninja remote?

no the CR13A doesnt work i tried that after
tech support said to buy it and it still
didnt work so i called them back and they
said the limit is 4 with no work around.

themax; The cr13a defaults to 4 cameras. Did
you reset it to the proper numbrer of
cameras before the test? If memory serves me
it can do all 16 unit codes if properly set.

TheMax, Yes our cameras are in a different
price class, try buying a 580 Lines of
resolution camera for under 200 dollars
anywhere else. We are not way to expensive
we sell quality cameras!! Plus we also are
installation wizards with install prices as
low at 79.99. Which is unheard of in our

I am brand new to x10. I have just set up
my 3 Ninja pan and tilt cameras and am
having many of the problems stated. I need
to start by asking how you program the
CR14A. The little paper that came with the
camera is no help. I called tech support
and they just refered be to the pdf sight
for that product and all it had was the sam
document. Tech support sais the CR14A cant
be used to individualy pan and tilt the 3
cameras. But reading the statements on this
thread sais otherwise and the salesman said
they will too. Any help? Mike.

set. It will with lights but not ninjas.
well i would of thought so to and i bought
10 ninjas and could only use 4 because as i
tried to hook up more, then 1 and 5 would
turn and 2 and 6 would turn and so on. i
spent two days on it and with x-10 and they
said it wont work with more than 4 ninjas.
Even tho they had me buy the cr13a earlier
they said that wont work either.

I have had 9 Pan&Tilt ninja cameras working for over two years. No Problem. All set to same house code. 5 are color and 4 are b/w. Just read the instructions for the remote on how to change the cameras in groups of 4. I also control them from ActiveHome. I have the color ones to turn on at dawn and off at dusk. Reverse for the b/w.

For some reason, my pan and tilt only works when it wants too. The camera shows excellent picture. Is there something I need to do to get it to work at all times. Does it use the my TM751 to send a signal to the pan and tilt? Is it possible that the TM751 is not working. Any recommendation will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks
