Title: Limited information
Post by: michael on June 13, 2005, 09:49:21 PM
Having looked through most of the pages
here, it's all geared for marketing and just
to sell, sell, sell. There's not much
technical information at all really. And
live chat, well...isn't live. I'm in the
need to setup a wireless camera and connect
it to my computer. People still use VCR's?
I'll need to start recording upon motion
activation. Do ANY of these X10's do this or
has anyone done it with them? It seems these
are just plain jane cameras with a composite
video output.

On the Support Tab pick Inatalation
Instructions. There are typical camera setup
instructions there. Maybe some of them will
help you out. I know that the VCR Commander
can start many VCRs when triggered by a
Motion Sensor.

All the X-10 cams allow recording in
various ways.  Using software (iWitness, X-
Ray vision, etc) or thru a VCR or DR using
the VCR commander.  Or recording on your
Vaio or computer with a video capture card.

The question is not CAN you do it but HOW
do you want to do it?
