Title: Flood Cam Minimum bulb wattage required??
Post by: rob on June 30, 2005, 04:46:27 PM
I just installed 3 Flood Cams and used 75W
Flood bulbs.  They don't even begin to
illuminate enough to see anything. Do you
have to use 150W bulbs? What is everyone
else using with success???
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Im using Halogens 15W and its ok, wish it
was brighter, I have not tried regular
bulbs since i know they get hot and heat
any more heat in Miami is not really
wanted.

Its not the wattage or even the light output
(lumens) of the bulbs that realy counts. Its
the amount of light REFLECTED by the
object or objects that you want the
camera to see that determines its
visibility.
