Title: someone keeps cutting the wires to my camera
Post by: kate on October 02, 2005, 11:03:42 AM
I installed a wired NightWatch camera
because I have a borderline psychotic
neighbor. She has found and cut the wires
to my camera twice now. I need some advice
on hiding the camera and protecting the
wires. Has anyone placed a camera into a
yard statue?

Please don't suggest wireless, I tried that
and she jammed it.

Well you try re-running the wire somewhere
else ( I don't know where you have it now
to help) BUT run another wire the same
place as before so she "thinks" shes
cutting the camera wire. Don't repair it
and she'll stay away thinking she "won".

This is one of the reasons I use multiple
cameras simultaneously.  Each camera is
within view of another camera.  ALL cameras
are being recorded on a DVR computer, so if
anyone tries to tamper with any cameras, I
have evidence of the incident to show the
police.  Maybe you could hide a second
camera in a place your neighbor will never
suspect, then fix the original camera
cable.  Then wait for her to snip the wires
again.
