Title: Going Ninja all the way!!
Post by: storm on December 13, 2005, 04:56:15 PM
I am changing my entire setup to the Ninja
Cam mounts. Once you go Ninja, you cannot go
back. I was on the internet today playing
my "My House" software via ActiveHome pro.
The Ninja mount is unreal, especially if you
have a wide angle camera. No more static
mounts for me. I like to control my cameras!
Now if they would just come out with a low
cost zoom camera. The Vanguard is a bit to
steep for my blood.

blowing smoke up our buts, huh?  ninja +
wireless cam = no signal as the camera pans
and tilts.  what genius came up with this
stupid combo?  who paid you to say they are
great?  they are junk.  why don't you tell
us the truth?  the camera/ninja and the
receiver must be 2 feet away from each
other to actually work.  not all of us who
read this site are as stupid as you think
we are.

Good to hear Storm. I have a friend who has
one at home and he likes it! That will be
my next X10 "project".

Amen skootch.  You think that's bad, you
should read what "pdmerr" has to say on the
Anaconda and Wired Camera thread.  They can't
pay him much- I think he's used a year's
supply of exclamation points in one post......

Sad.

That is reasonable.  Finally.  However, you
will have to convert to a thicker stranded
wire if you want it to last for any
reasonable period of time.  In fact the
internal wiring on the ninja breaks after
it sweeps too much.  Be carefull to just
use it as a periodic ptz base.  If you run
it 24/7 they will break. Also, the
home positions are established with
reflector/sensors internally.  If you
actually use the ninja outdoors water does
penetrate and "blinds" the reflectors so
the unit returns to home and won't stop
because it never finds home.  It will sit
there running and running until the motors
burn out.  Be forewarned.
