Unless I'm mistaken, there is no monitoring
service...You just program the uint to make
certain calls when tripped...

The Protector Plus system does not have a
monitoring service. The *Monitor Plus*
(subject of thi sthread) does have a
monitoring service.
If you hop over to the catalog, I think it
says $19.95 per month

HUH????????  What monitoring service?  JDR
is correct.  You program it to call whatever
numbers you want (friends, relatives,
neighbors).  Download the Protector Plus
Security System DS7000 owner's manual

When one of eight sensors(door sensors) fail
it appears that you must reprogam all the
sending units again. I cannot get the bad
one reprogramed.
Is there a fix for this? It is a pain each
time to reset the whole thing.

I am having trouble getting the Monitor
Plus to sense all the door/window sensors.
Part of the trouble is the long distance,
and some of it because of the metal heating
ducts inside the walls. I have tried using
the RF Repeater module, but it does not
help.

Is there any way to extend the antenna on
the Monitor Plus unit to get better
reception? If so, where do you get such a
device?
