I have installed a security plus system for
my buddy who is a contractor.Do they make a
numeric keypad that his employees can use
to disarm the system.Or some alternative
way to disarm and arm the system.Otherwise
he would have to issue keychain remotes to
all of his employees.any Ideas?
Thanks

I've had the same question, there is no
keypad available that I know of. I have
heard that someone has taken a numeric
keypad and wired it to the inside of a
keychain remote in some way to make it work.
I'd love it if there was a numeric keypad
for the system from x10.

Any keypad can be used as long as it has 2
relay outputs. You would need to wire it in
with the remote to arm and disarm and you
probably would need two codes one for arm
and one for disarm. I haven' seen the
inside of a remote yet but as a gate
technician I have wired in keypads to
transmitter to make them wireless keypads.
They are sold throughout the gate industry.
But more than likely if you want one to
work with X10 you probably need to have the
keypad wired in with the X10 transmiter.

The best thing I came up with so far as been to make a box for the "Security Remote Control" (SH624).
I had a buddy of mine @ work construct a metal box with a key lock. I mounted to the wall using lag bolts and I keyed the lock to my house key. So far it works great.

What type of signal does a typical keyless garage door opener use compared to x10 remote? That would be the perfect wireless keypad to disarm and arm the system.
