Need to upgrade a non-working motion
detector on a driveway alert system.
Can anyone recommend a reliable device for
this applacation. Also we have a large
dog. It would be nice if we could find
something that would detect cars but not
the dog????? Thanks

Not sure if I understand what your trying
to do but maybe this can help. Emx has
whats call a vehicle probe. It basically
detects metal as it is passed through the
probe. The probe has a set of contacts
(Maybe 2 that can be connected to just
about anything. By the way this probe is
used to open the automatic gate also. But
you can use it to turn on lights,ring a
doorbell,etc. You can find one at most any
gate company or on the net. There is also a
more generic type probe like those used in
gas stations and drive through restaurants.
It is basicall a rubber tube that makes a
switch when a vehicle drives across the
road.
