Title: IS IT ENOUGH?

Will the X10 Protector Plus system for
$99.00 be enough to cover one door into my
garage to sound off a loud alarm if someone
enters it?

You may want to add the Power Horn siren as
Idont feel that the siren on the Protector
Plus unit is enough by itself.

I concur with Ian. I've plugged in a Power Horn Siren
just outside of my bedroom door, as the base unit is
located downstairs and not in the bedroom. I've also
installed additional sirens in the garage and
basement (potential points of entry) to scare/startle/
disorient any would-be burglers.

The other thing too Brad is that you will
want to locate the console basically deep
within your home,,  and put a siren out in
the garage as Tom has suggested. That would
be best .(ie : you would not be putting the
Protector plus console directly in the
garage...  probably a door sensor and maybe
a motion detector right in the garage
itself)
