Title: DS 7000 dialer and home security system hybrid
Post by: kelly r. conaty on November 28, 2005, 04:34:11 PM
I have a DS 7000 console that I do not want
to use as a supervised security system, but
rather I want to use it as a dialer when my
regular (old but functional) wired home
security system goes off.  Is there any way
to use this with a Powerflash interface to
accomplish my goal?

No Powerflash will not send the proper
signal to trip the DS7000. Only way maybe
one of the Door/Window Sensors wired to a
normally closed output [if it has one] of
the wired system goes off and opens the
connection on the sensor; where the magnetic
switch was connected. That will trigger the
DS7000 if it is armed. Kind of a out of the
way to maybe get it to work. I have never
done this so others may have a better
thought.
