Title: Protector Pluss Window and door sensor
Post by: jon on January 13, 2006, 10:12:32 AM
I suspect my teenager of sneaking out
through a window.  If I put in the protector
plus system, will it help with this?  The
units look like they're just powered by a
battery so I'm wondering if she can just
bypass the system by removing the battery
when she wants to leave. Is there any
protection from having the battery removed?

Thanks

All of the sensor report that they are
alives every 4 hours. If the battery is
removed for at leat 4 hours, the zone will
blink on the protector plus to avise that
this sensor did not report (Reasons: No
Batt, Low Batt, sensor to far). The battery
can be removed easily. Anyway, the system
can be bypassed easily by moving the contact
from the window.

Jon, I suggest getting and Ademco Lynx, these
require a code and are a lot more
sophisticated. They also have tiny sensors so
you could put one on the outside of the window.
