Title: Unit codes
Post by: keith on January 26, 2006, 03:36:52 PM
I am a newbie to the x10 DS7000.  X10 support seems to
suck so I am depending on you users to help out here.
When I am installing window/door or motion sensors do I
change the unit code on the security console each time?
As far as the security light lamp module, would its' unit
code be set to the same one as what I leave the console
regularly set on?
Thanks.

No. The unit code is for the security light
or modules you want to activete. The
security sensors use a random 256 ID code
when registered with the console.

Before you make comments like this READ THE
DS7000 MANUAL.  Your questions are well
covered in the manual.  Very basic feature
of the DS7000.
