Title: Web site
Post by: wild bill on December 17, 2005, 02:25:44 PM
Does anyone else find x10 website difficult
to navigate? It seems extremely amatuerish
to me. I think I'll spend my $$ on lutron...

Seems pretty easy to me. I've had no problem
navigating.

Lutron is high end and in a complete
different catagory as X10, not fair to
compare. Although if you insist, the
question should be: quantity or quality,
which do you want?

I have submitted negative comments
concerning X10 (company not protocol) and
the "Submit" just sits there.  I submitted
a positive comment as a test and it was
grabbed up and posted immediately!  I've
done this several times; does it tell
anyone anything? (Except that perhaps I
need a real job!)

Don,
Nope I think it is mearly coincidental. I
have slung feces at X10 on the AHP forum and
it was posted. I think the only "editing"
X10 does is for profanity, etc.

It may be a coincidence, it may be the guy
who occasionally watches the Serving Bank,
it may be my touch of my Paranoia.  But I
believe you had better rethink
your "profanity" beliefs.  Try looking
under Forum --> Software.  Wow!  There are
messages there that leave lttle to the 4-
letter imagination!  There are some common
4-letter words that weren't used but enough
WERE used to blow the concept of "profanity
checking" out of the water.  Oh well.

Now, I posted a question concerning a Macro
I just wrote - do you have any ideas about
that little problem?  (It works but is
sooooo sloooow!)

DaveW:  I went to the Forum Software and
although I found many complaints, I did not
find the spicy language I spoke of earlier,
I didn't look EVERYWHERE though.  It
doesn't matter, I did see it, I was a
little surprised.  I believe the writer was
from Canada since he stated that X10 should
not be allowed to sell there.

In any event, I would venture to say that
many if not most of us believe X10 could
offer better help and more often - - I
mean, like DUH - answering an email request
for help?
