Title: Macro to send email from tripping motion sensor...
Post by: ChiTriGuy on January 10, 2006, 03:52:56 PM
Hey gang -

I searched through the knowledge base and
didn't see anything so I am hoping that you
gurus can help me.  I have a motion sensor
(B16) that I would like to set up to email
me if it is tripped.  I have Smart Macros
and MyHouse installed.  I was assured by
the sales person that I should be able to
do this and the documention has been vague
at best.  I called tech support twice.  The
first guy didn't know how to do it and when
I call the second time they seemed too busy
to help so they said they will call me
back.  So, I am turning to you folks, have
any of you managed to accomplish anything
like this.  I don't see any conditions that
would allow me to do something like If B16
= On Email <address> "Someone's home."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tom

I installed the BLAT command line email
sender on my WinXP PC and then used a AH
Macro to call this .bat file when the senor
is tripped. Not elegant, but it works. Of
course be carefull not to flood your inbox
with sensor notification!
