Title: Active Home Pro / Smart Macros
Post by: john mc on February 04, 2006, 05:18:40 PM
OK, call me stupid, but I have been playing
with this Active Home Pro module for some
time and cannot figure out how to program any
smart macros.  I have been using X10 for over
10 years, and have the fast macros for the
cm11a down pat.  I understand the idea of a
conditional macro, but can't figure the
software out or the use of Smart Macros.

For example, if I DON'T WANT a light to come
on after DAWN, how do you set that up?  and
what do the flags do?? I must be missing
something.  I am guessing that the macro must
read something like "If it's after dawn, then
N6 and N16 lights cannot be tripped by macro
N3 that turns them on when the PR511 sees
motion outside."  Any cluse anyone?

Have you tried a question in the separate
AHP Forums? They have a whole area for the
SmartMacros plug in?
Easiest way there is go to an AHP web page
and click on support then forums.
SmartMacrso is one of them. Maybe examples
there also.

"For example, if I DON'T WANT a light to
come  on after DAWN, how do you set that
up?"

First enter the Macro Trigger at the Very
top Center, eg. A1. Then Click on the
Condition Wizard. Put in the Trigger
conditions you want, in this example It's
Before Dawn OR It's After Dusk (You need
the OR for this one). Then just drag your
modules and delay timers over. The flags
are for more advanced Macro's. You use them
to set a condition. You can set the status
of the Flag and take an action based on
this status.
