Title: 3-way switches
Post by: davisark on April 08, 2006, 10:28:13 AM
I have a WS12A and a WS14A as a 3-way control for an incandescent light. The WS14A will turn the light on and dim it, but not off?

You have tried a quick tap on the paddle and it will not go off?

davisark:  I removed the copy of this question from the thread "x10 wall switches."  It is better to only have one thread with the question so that everyone who answers the question will put their answer in the same place.

Some questions about your problem though.  Can you turn the light off from the WS12A?  How about with an X10 command?

I have the same exact problem with my WS14A used with the WS12A, I can turn off the lights with the WS14A but I can't turn them on.  WS12A works for everything and so does the X10 remote.  Can anyone explain or figure out why I can't turn the lights on with the WS14A???   Thanks

Good Evening,

Try reversing the switch wires, that may help.  The signal is picked off one of them.

Good Luck

Hi,

I am also having this problem. I can dim and turn lights off with WS14A switch but can't turn them on again. What exactly do you mean by reversing the switch wires. I don't understand?

Thx
