I want to be able to change channels with the free remote I just recieved with my video sender.
I'm having problems getting the IR Control to work. On the back of my satellite R10 DVR the only connection that could fit is a serial port. So I plug in the IR blaster cord into the serial port and into the Video Sender 'Sender' part. But after I do that I get no video and audio signal.
Is my Satellite DVR not compatible with the IR blaster? Is there a way to get it to work?

Solved my own problem.
Only because I just happened to have an old IR Blaster that came with an old Hughes Directv reciever. I think you can find these on ebay. I connected it to the Video Sender 'Sender' and the other end I taped to the front of my Directv R10 DVR. And now I can control it with my free X10 remote control (after setting it up by entering one of the DVR codes for Tivo '371').
