Title: connecting to activehome pro at location other than at home.

I can't connect to myhouse.com.

Do you mean that you cannot get to the website myhouse.x10.com, that you cannot load the MyHouse Client, you cannot connect to the MyHouse Service from your AHP? If you provide some more information I'm sure we can figure it out.

I can't connect to myhouse.x10.com online or MYhouse client.I can however connect from AHP while at home.

What message do you get back from your browser when you go to myhouse.x10.com? What kind of Internet connection are you using?

when I attempt to connect through my broadband connection I get a black screen with a small box at the top of my screen with an x in the middle.

It sounds like you don't have Internet Explorer configured to install ActiveX controls, or that you are logged in with a user level that doesn't allow you to install/run ActiveX. If you are logged in as a Power User or Administrator, you should be able to adjust the Internet Explorer security settings to allow running (or prompr to run) signed ActiveX controls.
