Post by: hlcd2003 on May 16, 2006, 02:46:50 AM
Hi everyone,

I just bought a firecracker 4 piece kit off ebay. Could anyone tell me how to setup some kind of timer? Ex lights automatically switches on at 10pm. Greatly appreciate your help

It has been a while since I played with the firecracker software but (and I could be wrong) I do not believe there is any way to set up timers. From what I remember it is simply an interface for turning modules on and off using the computer. Unless you can find some software from a source other than X10 you will need to move up to either the CM11 or CM15A and associated software if you want timers.

Inorder to use timers with the Firecracker software you need the Fuse plugin for it.
Another option is to look on the net for other free software for the CM17A (firecracker).
There are other options I'll check I have a few firecracker programs laying around on disk somewhere. ;)

Ok, Heres one which allows timers and is free called Fireworx (http://www.triplewhitefox.com/tech/fireworx10.htm) I did use this for a while  so I know it works! ;)
